Astra Guild Ventures (AGV) is one of the newest DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), but it is already starting to make its presence felt. As of writing, AGV has 2,200 scholars and counting and has more than 20,000 Discord members composed of managers, aspiring scholars, and NFT enthusiasts. Thus, AGV is set to become a disruptive player in the NFT game market.
AGV is focused on NFT or non-fungible token games like the popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity. AGV provides scholarships for a percentage of the profit from selling and trading NFTs on the blockchain. Astra Guild has adapted this model to create numerous opportunities and become a contributing player to the NFT gaming ecosystem.
Astra Guild already has more than 2,200 scholars minting 225,429 Smooth Love Potions (SLP) on average per day from Axie Infinity alone. Next on AGV’s to-do list is exploring other promising NFT games like Sandbox, Guild of Guardians, Splinter Islands, and Star Atlas. The proven success of NFT games like Axie Infinity has demonstrated the potential of the play-to-earn economy – the core reason for the establishment of DAOs like Astra Guild Ventures.
The DAO has already built a community in the Philippines and other ASEAN countries like Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, and Laos. Down the AGV pipeline are countries in North America. AGV’s expansion plan is formulated strategically to establish the Guild as one pioneer of NFT gaming in Asia and eventually the world.
Leading the DAO is award-winning business founder Edward “Ed” Solicito, who will be serving as the CEO of Astra Guild Ventures. He will be leading the DAO in fulfilling the milestones down AGV’s pipeline. AGV recently distributed 230 million AGV Tokens (2.3 million USD) in seed funding and allocated 130 million more for its series A funding. The AGV token is scheduled for public listing by the end of 2021.
